N.B. The work at hand appears to be a copy of a vignette from Soyer's painting
Lacemakers at Asnieres-sur-Oise, with much sharper contrast of light and shadow and with the composition cropped very close to the figures.

Condition: Framed dimensions are 18 1/8 x 20 3/4 x 1 3/8 in.
Scattered retouch overall, including an area to c.l. side measuring about 1 x 1 inches, with a vertical line of raised craquelure in that area. Other areas of retouch under and around the chair on the lower right and to the left of the central figure. Overall craquelure. Minor frame abrasions. Probable varnish discoloration.
