- Lot Description
Aaron Willard Jr. Wood-front Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, no. 2127, cherry and pine stained case with carved floral finial above the original roman numeral painted signed dial marked "No. 2127/A. Willard Jr./Boston," barbed hands, frame and paneled waist section, lower box with oval glass aperture, interior head edge, interior waist section and bottom box frames stamped "824," eight-day, time-only movement regulated by a wood rod pendulum, and lead weight, ht. with finial 33 in.
Condition
Condition: retaines the original finish, object right waist section off case needs to be reglued, object left head has old repair where head and waist section meet, paint loss to dial, original glue blocks, baffle, winding key, and tie down, frame and panels constructed with corner splines.
