Aaron Lane Carved and Inlaid Walnut Tall Clock, Elizabeth, New Jersey, c. 1795, three turned and carved finials atop the pagoda-top bonnet with bellflower and paterae inlay, freestanding tapered and reeded columns flanking the silvered brass dial engraved "Aaron Lane/Elizth Town." in the arch, pierced hands, seconds bit, and calendar aperture, full-length waist door with contrasting inlaid wood paterae, line, and crossbanded inlay, crotch mahogany center base panel with inlaid corners, resting on ogee bracket feet, eight-day time and hour-strike with half-moon cutout plates, regulated by a brass bob pendulum and two cast iron weights, ht. 102 in.
