Brocot & Delettrez Gilt-bronze and Marble Perpetual Calendar Mantel Clock, Paris, c. 1875, white marble flat-top case above the heavy beveled glass, and bronze frame with front, and rear friction-fit doors, chased and engraved foliage decorated dial mat surround the upper porcelain dial with arabic outer seconds, steel center mounted sweep seconds hand and a raised subsidiary roman numeral hour-dial, sunk center with exposed Brocot escapement, lower perpetual calendar dial with a month and equation of time chapter, a polychrome sunken center, a moon aperture framed by a night sky, subsidiary dials for the date and day and steel cut indicator hands including the center mounted month hand that carries a cast sun, broken arch eight-day time and strike movement with Brocot suspension, Elicott-type gridiron pendulum, and rack and snail striking on a bell, signed and numbered by the maker "A Brocot & Delettrez, Paris, 10147," ht. 16 in.
