A GROUP OF TWO ANTIQUE ENGLISH NAVAL AND CAVALRY SWORDS, CIRCA 1805-1885, comprising a George III British Navy officer's sword, circa 1805, with a gilt brass stirrup hilt guard and langets centering fouled anchors in relief, topped by a lion's head pommel with half back mane mounted on a shaped ebony handle with carved lozenge textured grip and partitioned by twisted wire bands, over a steel blade with etched undulating leafy floral vines and ribbon tied crossed swords on a cannon barrel, before a drum filled with flag wrapped poles and swords issuing berried laurel branches ending at similar undulating vine details, enclosed by a stitched black leather sheath with gilt brass fittings, blade length: 26 1/4", total length including hilt: 30 1/2"; together with a Victorian 5th Royal Irish Lancers sword with guard suspending woven leather cone, on a polished single edge blade centering raised scrolling foliate rinceaux above the British Crown and Irish Harp flanked by crossed lances hung with billowing pendants, centering a banner inscribed "QUIS SEPARABIT," (who shall separate us) and ribbon tied berried laurel branches over "5 / ROYAL / IRISH (bannered) / LANCERS," above two stacked leafy branches with each enclosed by heart shaped ribbons inscribed right side "BLENHEIM / OUDENARDE," left side "RAMILLIES / MALPLAQUET," ending over a banner inscribed "SUAKIN 1885," above a curling foliate framed reserve enclosing four letter monogram "PRMO," over six pointed star framing a circular recessed gilt panel with initials "HW," reversing to matching rinceaux above a radiating British Crown and VR monogram over same rinceaux ending before a Prince of Wales feather diadem, above inscribed banner "BY APPOINTMENT," and "PATENT SOLID HILT / HENRY / WILKINSON / PALL MALL / LONDON," ending above a reticulated scrolling tipped polished steel basket guard on a cushioned handle with twist wire wrapped black shagreen grip, surmounted by a domed pommel with lozenge textured surface continuing down backside of handle, includes the stitched leather covered scabbard with two brass buckled straps and adjustable belt attachment, blade length: 34 3/4", with hilt: 40 1/2".
