A FRENCH LOUIS XVI REVIVAL GILT BRONZE AND SÈVRES STYLE PORCELAIN MANTLE CLOCK WITH ASSOCIATED THREE LIGHT CANDELABRA, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY, the two handled porcelain lidded urn form finial on an arched rectangular clock case, enclosing a conforming "jeweled" bleu celeste ground porcelain front with a ring dial of white panels centering black Roman chapters within gilt leafy borders, encircling reticulated gilt metal hands on a conforming face painted with a dovecote, shepherds staff and yellow shawl laying on a profusion of flowers over twin key escapements, verso a glass domed bronze bezel opening to the brass clockworks stamped "16538 / EB," and a pastille "JAPY FRÈRES & CIE / ✱ / GDE MÉDAILLE D'HONNEUR," numbered 4 8, suspending a steel rod pendulum with brass bob stamped 16538, exterior front with a lower panel painted as a seated courting maiden and youth in peasant attire and freeing a lone white dove set amidst a romantic landscape, trimmed in faux pearl and red glass bead jewels throughout, within leaf tip encadrements and flanked by leafy vine wrapped pilasters flanked by side floret cast handles, raised on a conforming leaf tip banded base with scrolling foliate mounted apron and elevated on beaded toupie feet, case stamped B, height: 15", width: 7 1/2", depth: 5", together with a pair of associated three light "jeweled" Sèvres style porcelain and gilt bronze three light candelabras, each centering a bulbous form bleu celeste ground stem with faux pearl trim enclosing an oval reserve depicting a hand painted shocked maiden reading a letter while seated in an idealized garden landscape, opposite a similarly attired maiden with a sardonic expression and seated in an idealized garden setting, issuing three stems ending in stylized bud form nozzles and raised on square form shingle roof modeled bases with disc style feet, height: 11 1/2", width: 7 3/4", depth: 3 3/4". Good condition with expected surface buildup, gilding wear, and surface buildup in areas throughout. The candelabras are in same condition and one has a restored porcelain stem towards base.
