Good condition for French desks of this age, use and materials including but not limited to expected light wear of all tooled leather areas, small oxidized spots on some of the bronzes, age cracks, some normal light scratches scattered about, a few small chips (less than 1/25"), bureau plat top has some normal light glass ring marks and discolorations throughout, surface buildup. The clock is associated and the interior clockworks have been replaced with a modern battery operated mechanism. Simpson Galleries strongly encourages in-person inspection of items by the bidder.
