American Indian or Native American basketry, 19th century, from the Russian River area, comprising two finely-woven water-tight coiled grasses baskets with brown and black decoration. Largest: 3.75" H X 6" diameter. Large basket with rim half-detached; smaller with tiny loss to rim where old label attached.
Notice to bidders: Condition reports and additional photographs are available by request. The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition.
- All items must be paid for within three (3) business days from the date of auction and ALL items must be removed within three (3) business days. Any item not removed or shipped within this time will be sent to an outside storage company, and may be subject to a storage fee assessed by and payable to that storage company. If an item is to be shipped, it is sent to our UPS store location after the first three (3) business days, unless other shipping arrangements have been made by the buyer. If other arrangements have been made, the buyer must contact our gallery within three (3) days of the auction date to arrange pick-up. All storage fees and invoices must be paid in full to retrieve items sent to storage. Once an item is sent to storage, neither Showplace Antique & Design Center nor The UPS Store is liable for it. Declared value coverage goes into effect once pick up or shipping arrangements are made. You must contact The UPS Store at 212-920-6521 to settle all storage fees and arrange for pick up or shipping.
