Gianni Versace (Italian, 1946-1997) Upholstered Pair of Knole Ottomans, with removable fringed cushions, upholstered in cotton velvet Versace "Wild Paisley" pattern. Note: The present piece sold as part of a set in Sotheby's 'The Collection of Gianni Versace,' sale 7607, April 2001, lot 349, for $77,800. The complete set was previously in the salon at Versace's Casa Casuarina Palazzo in Miami. The sofa features prominently in the book "Gianni Versace Do Not Disturb," Abbeville Press Publishers, p. 245. Provenance: From a 50 Madison Avenue Estate.
