Continental European, likely French, oil on canvas painting depicting a classical scene of Artemis, goddess of the hunt, with three Amazon warriors wielding bows and arrows in competition, on a brown ground, circa nineteenth century, housed in a period gilt wood frame with scrolling foliate design. Canvas has been relined. Image: 28" H x 58.25" W; frame: 38" H x 68" W.
