Vander, London, Elizabeth II period sterling silver vermeil dinner service for twelve in the "Onslow" pattern comprising: twelve (12) cocktail oyster forks, twelve (12) salad dessert forks, twelve (12) fish forks, twelve (12) dinner forks, twelve (12) dinner knives, twelve (12) luncheon knives, twelve (12) fish knives, twelve (12) tablespoons, twelve (12) soup spoons, twelve (12) teaspoons, three (3) vegetable serving spoons, one (1) meat fork, one (1) gravy ladle, fish servers (2), each piece with maker's hallmark, city mark, and various date marks 1970-1974. 127 pieces total. Weight: 196.23 ozt. Note: The "Onslow" pattern appeared in the mid 18th century and was named for Sir Arthur Onslow, five-time Speaker of the House of Commons (1726-1761) for whom the pattern was reputedly commissioned.
