LOT NOTES
Few materials lie outside of Henry Khudyakov`s reach – glitter, phosphorescent paint, Band-Aids, computer printouts, and construction paper all regularly make an appearance in the multifaceted, and often unexpected, work of the renegade artist. As one critic noted Partially as a result of his cosmic outlook, no canvas can be too bright for [the] creator. … His works cannot be summed up casually; although, many of them can be connected to each other as cells of a living organism. It's a creation of a new dynamic mysterious cosmos from customary objects. It's better not only to see his creations but be surrounded by them, feel them, and wear as a perfume those simple but surprisingly fresh images. As other Fluxus artists, Khudyakov envisioned and attempted to imbue the everyday with art – elevating the humbles of materials to fine art status.
Henry Khudyakov`s works can be found in private and museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
