LOT NOTES
To illustrate the wrapper of this rare constructivist book, Lissitzky used his double exposed photograph of the Dadaist Hans Arp, shot during their collaboration on The Isms of Art, 1914-1924 in 1925.

Illustrated by LISSITZKY, El (1890-1941), text by Ilya Selvinsky. Zapiski poeta [Poet`s Notes]. Moscow and Leningrad: GIZ, 1928. Original two-color photomontage wrappers. 12mo (173 x 127 mm). 94 pages. A book of autobiographical poetic novel and poems by Ilya Selvinsky. Bears various gifting inscriptions on title page. Original wrappers restored and reinforced.
