A RUSSIAN ICON OF THE VLADIMIRSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD IN A SILVER BASMA OKLAD, 19TH CENTURY
an elaborately detailed image of Virgin Mary that holds her Child in a tender embrace, framed by a basma oklad with intricate foliate design, with a silver coronal applied halo. The oklad marked DA in Cyrillic, the halo marked CA in Cyrillic, 84 standard.
