American school, end of XIX century. "Portrait of a lady". Oil on canvas. Canvas manufacturing stamp. Restored. Period frame. Measurements: 51 x 41 cm, 64 x 53,5 cm (frame). Female portrait of North American school. The young woman, of curly hair, is touched with a fur cap and wears a thick coat of which we only see its lapels, also of fur. The blue blouse with white lace peeks out from underneath, giving the ensemble great elegance. The psychological penetration also stands out, even though the girl appears distant and enigmatic. The eyes convey an introspective and melancholic attitude.
