Jean-Claude Dragomir (1931-1965) - Romania, France, hand signed & dated 1949

Condition: The image and frame are in very good condition.Artist Bio: Jean-Claude Dragomir (1931–1965) was a Romanian-born painter who became a notable figure in the Montmartre art scene in Paris. His work, primarily abstract compositions, reflects the vibrant artistic environment of mid-20th-century Paris. Dragomir was a close friend of composer Michel Magne, with whom he co-purchased the Château d'Hérouville in 1962, a site that later became renowned as a recording studio for prominent musicians. He was also set to collaborate with poet Bernard Dimey on an illustrated book; although the project was not completed due to Dragomir's untimely death in a car accident in 1965, Dimey's poems were later published as "Le Bestiaire de Paris."

In-house shipping is available for coins, jewelry, and sterling. Please note a $10 handling fee is added to the cost of shipping. Additionally, all shipments require full insurance & signature required. All other items will be shipped through our local UPS service. Once your items are ready to ship, you will receive an invoice directly from UPS. If you wish to use your own shipping provider or choose to use a third party for pickup, please notify us no later than 2 days post auction. We require that the shipping address match the registered billing address of the credit card used for payment. If buyer needs an item shipped to an alternate address, then payment must be made by wire transfer. All shipments must be fully insured/ declared at their full purchase price. The recipient is responsible for any/all packing costs, shipping costs, duties, taxes, fees, etc. International shipments are a case by case basis and must be pre-approved by SebastianCharles.
