Measures: 8 1/2" tall x 5" wide x 7 1/2" deep
Hand signed on the bottom.
Condition: Some crazing seen, as well as a small repair to the top of the headdress, and some minor loss of paint as well. See photos.
Helen Cordero was a renowned Cochiti Pueblo potter and artist, born in 1915 and passing away in 1994. She is celebrated for her groundbreaking work in reviving the traditional storyteller figurine in Native American pottery. Cordero's innovative creations, often depicting scenes of Pueblo life, earned her widespread recognition and accolades within the art world.
