Condition:the rifle are complete with the front sight blade and cleaning rod. Due to the age of the pieces, there is corrosion on all the metal. The metal finish shows areas of light pitting, The wood is in good condition considering the age. The Maastricht" stamp with crown is burnt into the wood on the butt of gun with 1873 included as well.
This Dutch Beaumont Vitali rifle was manufactured by Stevens of Maastricht in the Netherlands and is dated 1873. Originally a single-shot 11mm rifle, it was converted into a bolt-action magazine rifle in 1888, allowing for a capacity of four rounds. The rifle remained in use through World War I, showcasing its durability and adaptability in changing military needs.
In-house shipping is available for coins, jewelry, and sterling. Please note a $10 handling fee is added to the cost of shipping. Additionally, all shipments require full insurance & signature required.
All other items will be shipped through our local UPS service. Once your items are ready to ship, you will receive an invoice directly from UPS.
If you wish to use your own shipping provider or choose to use a third party for pickup, please notify us no later than 2 days post auction.
We require that the shipping address match the registered billing address of the credit card used for payment. If buyer needs an item shipped to an alternate address, then payment must be made by wire transfer. All shipments must be fully insured/ declared at their full purchase price. The recipient is responsible for any/all packing costs, shipping costs, duties, taxes, fees, etc. International shipments are a case by case basis and must be pre-approved by SebastianCharles.
