- Lot Description
James Harden was selected third overall out of Arizona State in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder to create a "big three" along with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. The trio created an exciting brand of basketball for the small-market Thunder fans to enjoy, highlighted by their run to the 2012 NBA Finals. Offered here is a pair of Harden's Nike personal shoes worn in training as he prepared for the strike-shortened 2011-12 season, which culminated with the OKC's Western Conference title and trip to the Finals. He really broke out in his third season, winning NBA's 6th Man of the Year award after upping his scoring average from 12.2 to 16.8 points per game. The surefire future Hall of Famer continues to add impressive stats to his resume with the L.A. Clippers.
Harden has called Los Angeles his off-season home since entering the NBA, and these come from a reliable source who got them directly from James after a November 2011 practice session. The bright blue, Thunder-themed Nike Hyperfuse Low basketball sneakers come in Harden's size 14 with proper internal size and manufacturer tagging. Harden wore Nike 2009 to 2015, but these predate Harden's signature model line that began in 2012. He has autographed each toe in bold black marker for nice eye appeal. Definitive player use is evident on the toes, midsoles and insoles. Consigned directly from a Hollywood actor whose daughter played college basketball at a major D-1 program, these shoes were gifted by Harden to her when she was a young girl.
