- Lot Description
The 2014 season was the New England Patriots' 45th in the National Football League, their 55th overall and their 15th under head coach Bill Belichick. It had also been a decade since the Patriots' last Super Bowl victory. That was all about to change. The Pats rolled to an AFC East division title with a record of 12-4. In the Divisional Round, New England pulled out a 35-31 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. The Patriots steamrolled the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship Game 45-7 to set up a Super Bowl XLIX matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. The Patriots snatched victory from the jaws of defeat when undrafted free-agent rookie Malcolm Butler intercepted Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson on the one-yard line with 20 seconds remaining and the Pats clinging to a 28-24 lead. This incredible moment secured the franchise's fourth championship.
Offered is a dazzling New England Patriots Super Bowl XLIX championship ring top pendant. The pendant is studded with numerous genuine diamonds, the four biggest ones making up the footballs on the franchise's four Lombardi trophies. The Patriots logo sits atop the four Lombardi trophies, with the words "WORLD CHAMPIONS" to the left and right. The back reads "SUPER BOWL XLIX CHAMPIONS" with the name "VELLANO" in the middle and the "JOSTENS 10K" hallmark beneath. Includes the original chain and Jostens box. The pendant remains in mint condition and weighs a whopping 50.7 grams all on its own and a total of 59.11 grams with the chain in tact.
