- Lot Description
In the late 2000's, Upper Deck released these exclusive Jersey Archives Kobe Bryant autographed jerseys limited to 124 editions to commemorate Kobe changing his uniform number from No. 8 to No. 24. This purple Los Angeles Lakers away jersey (LE #23/124) has been signed on the '2' in black permanent marker for outstanding eye appeal. The Upper Deck Jersey Archives box measures 20.5" by 18.5" and opens in a book-like fashion. The box displays wonderfully with silver text on the cover and spine and opens up for a unique collector's viewpoint for a signed jersey. The inside of the cover features an image of Kobe going up for a difficult layup along with Kobe's "The Truth" quote written in Latin and his 'KB 24' Carpe Diem logo.
An impressive and scarce limited edition product from Upper Deck Authenticated, the Jersey Archives series features basketball's three modern GOATS: Kobe, Jordan, and LeBron. The same Kobe purple road edition (#22/124) auctioned for $13,000 in June 2024. This example is certified by Upper Deck Authenticated with a hologram sticker (BAK02742), which can be verified in the online database.
