The Pacific Ocean and rocky cliffs recede into the background to give Marilyn Monroe the sole focus of this candid George Barris original photo. The starlet tragically passed away on August 4, 1962, and George Barris was the last photographer to capture Marilyn on film in what would become known to fans as the "Last Shoot." This print was part of a rare group of Type 1 photographs that were hand-signed by Barris and originates from the estate of super Marilyn collector Kim Goodwin, star hairstylist to famed celebrities. A truly stunning image of the beautiful star who left us too soon. The Type 1 photo has all four borders with the bottom right signed by George Barris in bold fountain pen. The reverse of the photo has a “PRIVATE COLLECTION OF KIM GOODWIN” stamp. Encapsulated Type 1 by PSA/DNA.
