Few autographs display as elegantly as that of Thomas Alva Edison. The iconic American inventor and businessman is known primarily for creating the first light bulb (earliest incandescent version), but he also brought us the phonograph for recording sound to play music and the motion picture camera for shooting movies. This exquisite example of his patented “umbrella” autograph in black fountain ink appears 8/10 in boldness and 9/10 in eye appeal. The format dates it to the late 19th century, making it one of the finest early Edison signatures you will find. The 1-7/8” by 3-1/4” cut is encapsulated Authentic by PSA/DNA.
