Nomar Garciaparra was a six-time All Star shortstop with a career .313 batting average. in 2000, the first year of the labeling period for the bat offered here, he had the highest single-season batting average by a right-handed batter in the post-war era, batting .372.
The offered Louisville Slugger C271 was used by Garciaparra between the 2000 and 2004 seasons, in which he was a member of the Boston Red Sox. The bat exhibits outstanding use with a repaired handle crack. Bal marks and stitch impressions are visible on the front, right, and left barrel. Also visible is a depression on the right barrel and a light coat of pine tar on the handle. His number 5 is written on the knob and top barrel in gold marker. Accompanied by a letter from John Taube of PSA/DNA awarding the bat a nearly perfect GU 9.5 grade.
