- Lot Description
Featured here is a ticket stub to the second of four gold medal events won by Jesse Owens at the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics, this time in the Men's Long Jump held on August 4th. Encapsulated and graded VG 3 by PSA, the ticket's info is in German and features the venue and date in the middle. Owens' herculean efforts during the '36 Games still inspire athletes worldwide. His victory in the broad jump over white German Luz Long and their friendship expressed openly during competition provided a strong message to Hitler and the Third Reich. Out of 58 total graded in the PSA pop report, this one comes in middle of the pack with 30 superior examples as of this writing.
