- Lot Description
Leon Spinks vs. Muhammad Ali II was billed as the Battle of New Orleans, and took place at the Superdome on September 15, 1978. Ali won via unanimous decision, regaining the WBA heavyweight title and avenging his split decision loss to Spinks from seven months prior.
Offered is a ticket stub from the fight that made Ali the first man to win the World Heavyweight Championship three times. The stub has been encapsulated and deemed an EX 5 by PSA/DNA. Ali signed the center of the ticket in bold black ballpoint pen for excellent eye appeal. This is the only autographed example of the stub across the PSA population report.
