- Lot Description
After setting the baseball world on fire with his AL-record setting 62 home runs in 2022, Aaron Judge was once again smacking the ball out of the park at a historic rate in 2024. For much of the season, Judge had a chance to break his own single-season home run record. He settled for 58 bombs on the season, to go along with 144 RBI and 133 walks. All three of these marks led all of baseball and were more than enough to secure Judge his second AL MVP in three seasons.
On August 23, 2024, Judge came to the plate wearing the presented jersey in the top of the sixth inning and the Yankees up 2-0 on the Colorado Rockies. Judge took the third pitch he saw from Kyle Freeland 388 feet to left center field for his 49th home run of the season.
The classic Yankees pinstripe jersey Aaron Judge wore that day has the navy blue intertwined “NY on the left chest and the Nike logo on the right. The Nike label is found on the lower left front tail along with authenticity holograms from MLB (YP346814), Fanatics (RG13322433), and the Yankees (0000014994). The back has Judges “99 in navy blue upon which the Yankees star has signed his name and inscribed, "2024 AL MVP," "1-4, HR, RBI, R," and "VS. Rockies 8/23/24." This is the only known inscription of 2024 AL MVP on a game worn jersey from the season. The jersey shows good game use with some light staining, most noticeably on the left sleeve.
