- Lot Description
Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Daniel Hudson pitched this ball to Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton in the bottom of the 3rd inning during Game 4 of the 2024 Fall Classic at Yankee Stadium. The slider in the dirt was tossed out of play by the umpire. Stanton would walk in the at-bat and score two batters later on Anthony Volpe's grand slam that turned the tables and gave New York a 5-2 lead. This was the highlight of the World Series for the Yanks as they went on to win their only game of the series, 11-4. The next day, the Dodgers clinched in five.
The Official 2024 World Series (Manfred Jr.) baseball shows the dirt scuff from Hudson's pitch. The ball is certified with hologram stickers from both MLB Authentication (YP498510) and Fanatics (CR96741341).
