- Lot Description
The Tampa Bay Lightning entered the 2020-21 season as the defending Stanley Cup champions. In the first round of the 2021 Stanley Cup playoffs, the Lightning defeated their in-state rival Florida Panthers in six games. They went on to defeat the Carolina Hurricanes in five games to earn a spot in the Semifinals, where they defeated the New York Islanders in seven games to reach the Stanley Cup Finals for the second consecutive season. Tampa Bay would then repeat as champions in five games against the Montreal Canadiens.
Offered is a 10 karat gold ring commemorating the Lightning's back-to-back Stanley Cup championship. The ring is littered with genuine diamonds and sapphires. The face of the ring has the Lightning bolt logo in sapphires amidst a sea of diamonds with the words "STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS" above and beneath it. One shank features the word "LIGHTNING" above the words "2021" and "2020." Two Stanley Cups sit amidst the two years. The other shank has "TAMPA BAY" above the staff member name "SUNDERLAND" and the NHL logo.
The inside of the ring is engraved with each of the series triumphs the Lightning had en route to hoisting the Stanley Cup, along with the words "CLINCHING SHUTOUTS" and the season record of "32-13." The "JOSTENS©10K" hallmark is also found inside the band. The ring is a size 8.5 and is accompanied by the Jostens COA.
