After bursting onto the scene as a 21-year-old Rookie of the Year in 2001, Albert Pujols followed that season up with two more stellar campaigns in 2002 and 2003. Both seasons he finished as the NL MVP runner-up, and in 2003 won the batting title with a .359 average that led all of baseball. Offered is a Louisville Slugger I13L Pujols used during that 2002-03 era. The bat exhibits outstanding use with a glued handle crack. Many ball marks and stitch impressions are visible on the left, back, and front barrel. There is a light coat of pine tar on the upper handle. Pujols' number 5 is written on the knob in black marker. A blue dot indicating the bat is a gamer is visible under his number. Accompanied by a full LOA from PSA/DNA deeming the bat to be a GU 8.5.
