No player in the NBA's modern era has more championship rings than Robert Horry. The 6' 10" forward played a pivotal role in winning seven titles: two with the Rockets, three with the Lakers and two with the Spurs. Only Celtics linked to the glorious Auerbach era have won more. "Big Shot Rob" was a clutch performer throughout his career, often hitting the biggest shot at the end of the game when it mattered most.
During the 2000-01 regular season for the Lakers, Horry played primarily behind Horace Grant, but in the playoffs he found himself on the floor at some of the most crucial moments. L.A. lost the first game of the 2001 Finals before winning the next four thanks in large part to Horry's late-game heroics in Game 3 when he scored 12 of his 15 points in the 4th quarter. For the series, Horry went 8-for-13 (61.5%) from three, blocked seven shots, and did not miss a free throw. This offered Los Angeles Lakers purple warm-up suit was worn by Robert Horry during the 2000-01 season and likely throughout the entire playoffs based on its NBA Finals patch.
The button-up jacket has yellow-gold and white stripes down the sides with the Lakers, NBA and Nike logos on the front. The reverse has "LAKERS" in yellow-gold tackle twill block letters outlined in white. The sleeves have the same gold and white striping pattern. The ever-important 2001 NBA Finals patch is located on the left sleeve. Proper Nike/Lakers/NBA tagging is found within the collar indicating size "3XL" and "Length +4" along with Horry's No. "5" hand-marked in pen. Additional tagging inside the left tail has a well-worn wash instructions label and "1999-00" year tag. (It was common in that era to use a warm-up suit for multiple seasons.) The jacket shows a solid amount of wear inside and out. Horry has added his signature just above the team name on the back in bold silver marker.
The matching pants have the yellow-gold and white stripes down the outer legs with the NBA and Nike logos on the left thigh. The lower left leg has the Lakers patch and "LOS ANGELES" in purple. Proper Nike/Lakers/NBA tagging is found within the collar indicating size "2XL" and "Length +6" along with Horry's No. "5" hand-marked in pen. There is plenty of visual evidence of wear as well as a lingering aroma on the interior. Horry has signed the left leg area in silver marker.
Each signature has been sticker certified by PSA/DNA. Each article of clothing comes with its own individual LOA from the Lakers.
