- Lot Description
Fred McGriff nearly made it to the prestigious 500 home run club, but his 493 career dingers was still more than enough to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. McGriff was a five-time All Star, a World Series champion, and twice a home run leader.
Presented is a game used McGriff bat from his first stint with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 1999-2000. The bat exhibits moderate use with a handle crack. His number 29 is written on the knob in black. McGriff has autographed the barrel in bold gold marker. PSA/DNA has awarded the bat a GU 8.5 for the use, and PSA has also authenticated the autograph.
