- Lot Description
One of the NFL's most lovable characters in the 1990s was the late Tony Siragusa. "The Goose" played seven seasons with the Indianapolis Colts (1990-96) and five more with the Baltimore Ravens (1997-2001) with whom he won his only Super Bowl ring following the 2000 season. At 6' 3" and likely 350+ lbs. (listed at 330), the enormous nose tackle plugged the line of scrimmage and stuffed the run as well as anyone. Off the field, he embraced his "happy fat guy" image. That amicable personality served him well after his playing days as he became a natural sideline reporter on FOX's Sunday NFL broadcasts.
Offered here is Siragusa's 1997 Ravens game worn home jersey from his first season in Baltimore. The purple knit and mesh jersey has Tony's No. "98 front and back in white tackle twill shadowed in black. Smaller versions of his number are sewn in the same format on the shoulders. His NOB comes in white tackle twill straight across a purple nameplate. Two Raven crests are embroidered on the sleeves, the ends of which have been custom-hemmed to Siragusa's liking. A small "Ravens" logo appears below the NFL shield patch on the front collar. The massive size 52 jersey is properly tagged on the left front tail by Starter, with a "97" year strip sewn alongside. It shows heavy game wear with five team repairs and scratch marks on the front numbers.
