- Lot Description
1992 was Pudge Rodriguez' first full-time season in the majors and he performed admirably at age 20. He is regarded today as the premier catcher of his era. This 33.875" and 30.1-ounce Rawlings Big Stick professional model bat dates from that breakout season. 'Pudge' also autographed the barrel of this bat in bold, blue ink for nice appeal along with a "#7" inscription.
The rookie era '484B' model bat exhibits evidence of excellent game use, including ball marks, blue ink transfers, and cleat marks. A handle crack existed, which has since been repaired. The model number, order number, and year have been stamped into the bat knob. The weight and "Rodriguez, 7" are also stamped.
The autograph has been certified by PSA/DNA and the bat is accompanied by a full LOA for the grade (GU 9).
