The 1982 season showed the baseball world the grit and determination that would eventually lead to a plaque in Cooperstown for Rod Carew. Despite breaking his hand early in the summer, Carew pushed through the pain, sometimes even batting one-handed, to hit .319 and lead the Angels to an AL East title. Rod’s 1982 Adirondack '381B' Professional Model bat displays outstanding game use with a crack in the barrel. Slight checking from repeated contact with the ball is found on the back barrel and the right barrel displays many ball marks and scuffs. Blue bat rack paint streaks are present along with a heavy coat of pine tar on the handle. The bat’s specs are stamped into the knob along with the weight “32” is handwritten in blue pen. Both ends have Carew’s number “29” handwritten in black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA and has been graded a GU 9.
