- Lot Description
A memento from the now defunct North American Soccer League, best known for featuring Pelé on the New York Cosmos from 1975 thru 1977. The Cosmos' ten year anniversary was capped off by winning their third double as a franchise. They took home the league title and the Soccer Bowl tournament final. Even though the NASL only lasted for 15 short years, the Cosmos never skimped on their championship ring budgets.
Featured is a championship ring awarded to a member of the Cosmos staff. The team logo along with 4 diamonds don the top surrounded by "1980 Cosmos NASL Champoins" impressed on the perimeter. Left shank features the name "Sayle" stamped above a "Cosmos Strikers" trophy, right shank has "Soccer Bowl 80" logo stamped in. The ring is 10K Gold, features diamonds, weighs 23.31 grams and is approximately size 10.
