- Lot Description
Though it is often overlooked today, Richard Nixon’s presidency was among the most progressive when it came to environmental issues. Nixon created the Environmental Protection Agency and was a vocal supporter of the Clean Air Act of 1970. In 1969 President Nixon drafted Executive Order 11472 that established the Citizens Advisory Committee on Environmental Quality. This group was empaneled to advise the president and ensure that federal policies and programs consider the environmental impact. Richard Nixon signed this document in 1973 that appointed a member to this advisory board. The appointment has been matted with a color photographic print of President Nixon along with an engraved plaque listing his career achievements. The complete framed display measures 29” x 43” and comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA.
