- Lot Description
The 1965 Los Angeles Dodgers finished with a record of 97-65, winning the National League pennant by two games over their rival San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers faced the Minnesota Twins in the World Series and won a hard-fought seven-game series to secure the franchise's third World Series title in Los Angeles.
Offered is a 1965 Los Angeles Dodgers World Series championship ring. The face of the ring features a white sapphire set amidst a blue stone with the words "LOS ANGELES WORLD CHAMPIONS" encircling it. One shank features "1965" and both Dodgers logos. The other shank features the recipient's name on a baseball with two interlocking bats behind it. Inside band is stamped "BALFOUR 14K." The size 9.5 ring weighs 27.11 grams.
