- Lot Description
Featured is an important large format original photograph of gold medalists, Cassius Clay, Eddie Crook Jr. and Wilbert McClure posing with world renowned boxing writer and owner/editor of "The Ring" Magazine Nat Fleischer. This iconic photograph features the three US Gold Medalist boxers donning their gold medals in the Olympic Plaza during the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome. This would hardly be the last time Fleischer would pose with Clay/Ali as he covered several of the champions' important matches throughout the rest of his storied career.
The 12 3/8" x 12" photo is in exceptional condition and is accompanied by a full PSA/DNA TYPE II LOA.
