Presented here is an incredibly rare full unused ticket to Game 1 of the 1952 Fall Classic between the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field. Joe Black pitched a complete game and became the first African-American pitcher to win a World Series game as the Dodgers took the opener by a 4-2 margin. Jackie Robinson led off the 2nd inning with his first ever World Series home run. Snider and Reese also went deep for Brooklyn, but 'Dem Bums would eventually lose the series in seven. It would be the fourth consecutive World Series triumph for the Yanks, a streak that eventually ended at five straight.
Graded VG 3 by PSA, the ticket displays very nicely with its only major flaw being a pinhole to the right of the Dodgers' logo on the front. Only two full tickets from this historic World Series game featuring Jackie's first October dinger have ever been authenticated by PSA, so here's your chance to own the highest graded and half of the entire hobby's known census!
