- Lot Description
Significant and important 9-1/4" by 19" panoramic photo of the 1924 World Champion Washington Senators posed on the White House lawn with President Calvin Coolidge. Players are all dressed in suites and ties. Walter Johnson stands directly to the President's left. Identification below reads "President Coolidge & the Washington Base Ball Team on visit to the White House Sept. 2 1924". Washington would take the World Series 4 games to 3 over the New York Giants a month later. Outstanding photo clarity. Some light creasing from rolling.
Accompanied by a full LOA from PSA/DNA with a TYPE 1 designation.
