- Lot Description
There is no better QB rivalry in the NFL today than Joe Burrow vs. Patrick Mahomes. In their first three matchups (all within the calendar year of 2022), Joey Burrs led Cincinnati to thrilling 34-31, 27-24 (2021 AFC Championship), and 27-24 victories over Kansas City. In the previous two meetings, Mahomes and the Chiefs prevailed in 23-20 (2022 AFC Title) and 26-25 nailbiters over the Bengals.
Presented here is Burrow's game-worn jersey from Burrow-Mahomes III on December 4, 2022. Trailing 17-24 early in the 4th quarter, the Bengals scored the final 10 points capped by Burrow's game-winning 8-yard TD strike to Chris Evans. The former Heisman winner finished 25-31 on the day with two touchdowns and no picks, playing mistake-free football and coming through in the clutch down the stretch.
The following month, Mahomes was finally able to beat his rival in the 2022 AFC Championship. The Bengals won't play the Chiefs in the 2025 regular season, but when the sixth matchup of these two future Hall of Famers does takes place, it will surely capture the attention of football fans everywhere.
The alternate orange jersey has Burrow’s number “9” on the front in black and white tackle twill along with his captains’ patch sewn on the right chest. The inside collar has a size 42 Nike label, and each shoulder has black Bengal stripes. The back has “BURROW” across the shoulders in white tackle twill on an orange name plate with his number “9” below in black and white tackle twill. The jersey shows solid wear throughout, and the Bengals star has signed his number “9” on the back in bold black marker, noting the date “12-4-22” and his stats from the game.
The jersey is certified by Fanatics, while the signature and inscriptions come with a full LOA from PSA/DNA with perfect 10 autograph grade.
