- Lot Description
At 36 years old, Kevin Durant remains as one of the best two-way players in the NBA. Still arguably the smoothest and most unstoppable pure scorer, KD has also become a heck of a defender, using his nearly 7-foot frame and wingspan to be a menace to opposing wings. Now with his fourth team, the "Durantula" will surely be a 1st ballot Hall of Famer when his career ends.
After losing to the Cavs in the 2016 NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors went all-in and signed Durant in the off-season to form one of the most dominant rosters in history. After waltzing through a 67-15 regular season, they nearly won out in the 2017 postseason, going 16-1 overall to hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy for KD's first NBA title. The "Thin Man" wore this jersey in the Warriors’ 127-119 home victory over the Nuggets on January 2, 2017. That night, KD accounted for 21 points, two assists, three rebounds, a block and a steal. It has been conclusively photo-matched by MeiGray with multiple matches.
On the front left tail is the Adidas tag indicating size XL and Length +2" with the NBA Authentics label and game date (“1.2.17”) notated in black marker. Inside the left tail is the wash instructions and Adidas manufacturing code. Further up the left inseam is the mic pocket custom-designed only on certain stars' jerseys. A yellow ribbon with blue “42” is done across the left collar to commemorate the passing of Warriors legend Nate Thurmond. “GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS” logo patch is done on the front in gold blue and white tackle twill, with player number “35” in yellow tackle twill. Player number “35” is also done in blue tackle twill on the back. Sewn onto the back collar is the franchise's "4x" championship tally. Embroidered below is the “NBA” logo patch. The player name “DURANT” is done across the back in black tackle twill. This jersey exhibits appropriate wear. Includes NBA/MeiGray LOA with two photo-matches.
