Elgin National Watch Co., Elgin, Illinois, an early 20th century trench watch with Fahy's armored case, 0 size, 7 jewels, stem wind and set, damascened, nickel plate movement with lever escapement in a sterling silver, Fahy's armored case marked "Patent Pending", roman numeral, single sunk white enamel dial with blued steel spade hands, serial #7956888CASE: Shows extra case screw marks; Minor dings and very fine scratches; Case back with shallow dents and scratches; Bezel and back with wear and marring from case knife; Acrylic crystal; Crystal loose; Crown must be pushed in to engage winding; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Hairlines. HANDS: Minute with bends; lacking seconds. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; Crown wheel with minor oxide; Winding wheels with scratches; Barrel arbor bushing lacking one screw; Regulator lacking outer pin; Click and screws with minor oxide.
