Oak architectural case with gilt metal mounts, having a domed top adorned with three finials, glass door flanked by Ionic pilasters, opening to silvered brass dial with cherub mask and scroll motif, marked "C. G. Iliffe, Barrow-in-Furness", raised on a conforming oak stand with architecturally-inspired carving and gilt metal mounts, on a stepped base. The movement is stamped ?W&H/Sch./1? for Winterhalder & Hofmeier of Schwarzenbach, Germany. Running when catalogued.
