- Lot Description
A 19th century Wedgwood Black Jasperware "Achilles in Skyros Among the Daughters of Lycomedes" plaque. Rectangular shape, decorated in white cameo relief with thirteen men and women, and two horses on a black ground. Impressed "Wedgwood/0". Under glass in a beveled mahogany frame with a 19th century framer's label on the reverse. Minor wear, including several extremely small and minor cracks to the white border. 10 x 4 1/2" high, sight size; 14 x 8 1/2" framed. ESTIMATE $1,000-1,500
