William Bromley, English, 1818-1888. Oil on canvas depicting a mother and two children along a wooded path, the mother is shown kneeling, adorning a wagon with flowers. Signed "W. Bromley" lower left, fitted within a 19th century gilt wood frame, "Arthur Tooth & Sons" of London label on the reverse, also remnants of a paper label. There is a very small hole in the canvas, with overpainting, in the upper left corner area. Frame exhibits losses. Image 17 1/2 x 13 1/2", framed 29 1/2 x 25 1/2" high overall. ESTIMATE $1,500-2,500
