An early-mid 19th century Scottish mahogany tall case clock. 8-day time and strike movement. Satinwood string inlay, having a beveled cornice above a painted dial depicting a courting couple at the top and allegories of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter at each corner, and signed "David Samson" (unidentified). With pendulum. Wear noted to the decoration; cracks to the veneer and separation at both sides of the base. 82 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $600-800
