- Lot Description
A mid 19th century Scottish mahogany tall case clock. 8-day time and strike movement. Satinwood string inlay, having a scrolled arch pediment centered by a brass eagle finial, painted dial depicts the Duke of Wellington at the top and allegories of Commerce, Justice, Peace, and Plenty at each corner. With painted pendulum. Cracking noted to the veneer; repairs noted to the pediment and possibly one foot. 85" high. ESTIMATE $800-1,200
