An 18th century Philadelphia comb back Windsor armchair. Tall, nine spindle back with shaped crest and carved volutes, shaped hand holds, turned spindles, shaped plank seat and turned stretcher base. Hickory and Maple construction with a Poplar seat. Re-varnished on an old worn finish with slight traces of old Black, crack and old repair at the back/outer spindle joint, some joint looseness. 26 1/2 x 17 x 45 1/2" high overall.
